The .50 Cal Paintball Debate is Over

Well, in my mind at least…

After watching this video of Bob Long demonstrating the Victory with the new .50 caliber kit, I’m actually pretty stoked to see this in action. Check it out:

Like Bob said, I don’t expect 50 cal to replace 68 cal, but it will be a welcome addition if it can help bring new people into the sport. Plus, it’s no longer just the GI Milsim show, you’ve got some other industry heavyweights getting into the mix now with more to follow I’m sure.

So what do you think?

    No .50 for this pumper!

7 yr old kids shouldn’t play, and the best way to bring people into this sport is to have some self control out on the field.

I am all about bring people into the sport but would you tell a parent,”look this sport isn’t like crazy war zombies running around uncontrolled on a killing spree, look when your kid gets lit up it wont hurt as much”

we need to bring control back into the sport. Back in the day when you had to work to get 12BPS it was hard to “accidentally” over shoot someone. now there is 30 rounds in the air before you see that it’s a ref your shooting at.

It’s funny to see a guy that makes a gun that shoots faster than i can think. is trying to make the sport more newb friendly by endorsing smaller balls. for his $1800 rig. “heres a .50 conversion, now you can light up my grandkids all you want” right!
